Use a gear wrench to loosen and remove the output speed sensor bolt before disconnecting its electrical connector. Remove the output speed sensor and bracket assembly from the case while examining the output speed sensor assembly for damage. The output speed sensor requires a coating of automatic transmission fluid before you install it together with its bracket assembly. Install the bolt and tighten it to 11 nm (96 inch lbs.)next attach the output speed sensor electrical connector before reducing the vehicle to the ground. The output speed sensor of four-wheel-drive vehicles exists on the Transfer Case assembly.
