2003 Buick Century Antenna Cable Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace an Antenna Cable for Extension Cable on 2003 Buick Century?
A: The procedure to replace the antenna cable starts with removing the right instrument panel insulator and peeling back the right carpet section to access the wiring harness. First disconnect the I/P antenna cable from the body harness antenna cable before removing the I/P compartment and the radio. Observe the I/P antenna cable path and trim the visible ends of the replacement cable specifically at the radio and front door hinge pillar locations at the point where it leaves the I/P wiring harness. Position and secure the new antenna cable by using electrical tape to cover the wiring harness exterior at 150 mm (6 in) intervals for protection and correct routing. Reattach the radio after connecting its I/P antenna cable to the radio unit. To complete the installation connect the I/P antenna cable with the body harness antenna cable at the front door hinge pillar before you reinstall the I/P compartment and the right I/P insulator and the right carpet.
