2003 Buick Century Antenna Cable Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace an Antenna Cable on 2003 Buick Century?
A: You need to start by removing the right upper quarter trim panel followed by disconnecting the body harness antenna extension cable from the Antenna Cable. Next remove the rear seat cushion and right instrument panel (I/P) insulator along with the right front and right rear carpet retainers and lower trim panel from the right center pillar. You must reach the wiring harness by pulling back the right carpet side to disconnect the i/p antenna extension from the body harness Antenna Cable at the front door hinge pillar. Cutter equipment should be used to trim the ends of the Antenna Cable that must be exchanged while paying attention to the path of the original cable. The new Antenna Cable should be installed according to the previous removal procedure while electrician tape should be used to secure extension cables outside the wiring harness at intervals of 150 mm (6 in). The right carpet and lower trim panel at the right center pillar should be returned before installation of the right front carpet retainer and right i/p insulator with rear seat cushion and right rear carpet retainer. When placing these items reconnect the i/p antenna extension cable to the body harness Antenna Cable at the front door hinge pillar. Reposition the right upper quarter trim panel once you have connected the antenna extension cable to the body harness Antenna Cable.
