How to service the EGR valve on 2003 Buick Century?

The EGR Valve service process begins by disconnecting the electrical connector after you remove the egr pipe bolt and gradually pull the pipe assembly in reverse direction. The EGR Valve service requires the technician to first remove EGR Valve bolts and valve and then extract the gasket. Before mounting the new EGR Valve Gasket with the valve you should clean the valve gasket mating surface. Use the egr bolts to fix the EGR Valve while tightening each bolt to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Install the egr pipe to the EGR Valve before installing its bolt that needs to be tightened to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The EGR Valve electrical connector should finish the installation process.
