The EGR Valve pipe assembly requires removal when you remove the bolt that secures it. Extract the pipe assembly from the valve with caution. To proceed with EGR Valve servicing start by removing the bolts and taking out the EGR Valve assembly and then the gasket. Before the new gasket and EGR Valve installation to the Intake Manifold begin a cleaning process on the EGR Valve mounting surface while following all instructions in the fastener notice in service precautions. Tighten the egr bolts to a value of 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Fasten the pipe assembly to the EGR Valve through installation of its bolt followed by a torque setting to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The EGR Valve electrical connector must be reconnected as the last step in this process.
