Begin the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) pipe servicing process by removing its retaining bolt from the EGR Valve then gently extracting the pipe assembly backward. The egr pipe assembly nut must first be removed from the Exhaust Manifold before extracting the egr pipe. When installing the EGR Valve pipe you should first secure it to the Exhaust Manifold while tightening the egr pipe nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Attach the EGR Valve pipe bolt and secure it at 25 n.m (18 lb ft).
