How to replace the rear Door Latch Assembly on 2003 Buick Park Avenue?

The first step to replace the rear door latch involves uninstalling the door trim panel followed by detaching the water deflector. Start by removing the power window module then disconnecting the door latch from the outside door handle rod. Finally detach the window and power window module The electrical connectors connecting to the door latch should first be disconnected and the inside door handle rod with lock rod need to be taken out from the latch. The door latch needs removal from its position within the power window module as the last step. Start installation by fastening the door latch assembly onto the window module before connecting the inside door handle rod along with lock rod to the latch. The power window module installation requires the connection of electrical connectors before its final assembly. The fasteners need to be installed and must be tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Reinstall the window and the water deflector and door trim panel after completing the installation.
