How to replace the front door striker on 2003 Buick Park Avenue?

Before removing the front door striker you should understand its current position along with the number of existing spacers. The first step involves removing both mini wedge striker bolts before proceeding to take out the mini wedge striker and spacer and washer. The lock pillar needs a washer during installation to protect the paint surface. Place the mini wedge striker and spacer and the washer so that the wedge points away from the door before loosely tightening them using the bolts. Adjust the mini edge striker through the alignment process provided for lock strikers. Install the two bolts into position and tighten them to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).
