How to replace the rear trunk latch on Buick Park Avenue? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before replacing the rear compartment lid latch users must take off the rear compartment lid trim. Pull off the electrical connectors at positions 5 and 6 from the lid latch assembly to free it from power. Also remove the lid latch assembly bolts. Remove the lid latch assembly from its position by disconnecting the actuator cable first. When installing place the lid latch assembly correctly and reference the Fastener Notice for correct steps. Use bolts to fix the lid latch assembly into place by tightening them to 10.5 N.m (93 lb in). Reconnect the actuator cable to the latch then plug electric connectors five and six into the rear compartment lid latch assembly before putting back the trim.
