How to replace the Air Bag Sensor Front End on 2003 Buick Rendezvous?

To remove the inflatable restraint front end sensor, start by disabling the sir system. Do not tap or jolt the sensor and be sure it is well fastened before attaching power so as to avoid sir from deploying or personal harm. First, remove the grille and the retainers attached to the upper front Bumper fascia to the radiator support. Pull away the fascia to reach the sensor bolts, then remove the orange connector position assurance (CPA) from the yellow sensor harness connector and detach the harness connector from the sensor. Next, remove the bolts and sensors from the upper radiator core support. For installation, clean the mount surface free from contaminants, and connect the sensor harness connector to the sensor, and install orange into yellow sensor harness connector. Align the sensor at the upper radiator core support so that the arrow located on the sensor is aimed in the front of the vehicle and tighten the sensor bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Finally, attach the fascia to the radiator support, replace retainers and reinstall grille before activating sir system.
