How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2003 Buick Rendezvous?

The first step to replace the stop lamp switch is to take off the insulation panel on the left side of the dashboard. To take out the stop lamp switch you must first disconnect its electrical connections before turning it counterclockwise ¼ turn and pulling it back from the brake pedal bracket. You install the stop lamp switch when you push it into the guide spots until it reaches full stop on the brake pedal. Then rotate the switch clockwise by one quarter turn to lock it in place. Reattach the power connections before putting back the left side instrument panel insulator. Modify the stop lamp switch depending on need.
