The brakes vacuum hose along with the power steering return hose and Power Steering Reservoir outlet hose must be detached from the Power Steering Reservoir. The procedure to swap out a Power Steering Reservoir begins by unplugging the wiring harness from the Power Steering Reservoir followed by removing the Power Steering Reservoir mounting bolts (1 and 3) until the reservoir can be extracted. Install the Power Steering Reservoir with its mounting bolts (1 and 3) then tighten the bolts to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) while bolt requires a torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The Power Steering Reservoir will receive the power steering return hose after connecting the wiring harness and brake vacuum hose and Power Steering Reservoir outlet hose. The final task includes removing the drain pan from under the vehicle before performing power steering system bleeding.
