  A: Raising and supporting the vehicle to initiate the engine's process, safety precautions are to be taken. Support the exhaust system near the resonator with an appropriate jack and remove the Oxygen Sensor without disconnecting the electrical connection. Then, take out the nuts that hold the Catalytic Converter to the exhaust manifold pipe and remove the center exhaust hangers and the bolts that hold them to the rear suspension support brackets. Remove the Catalytic Converter in a tight and delicate manner from the manifold pipe and put down the exhaust system. Remove the Catalytic Converter Gasket as it should not be reused. Cut a piece close to the step on the rear Catalytic Converter side of pipe taking the catabolic converter from the resonator inlet pipe as close to the step as the tool will allow from the replacement to allow the replacement to slide over the inlet pipe. When installing, avoid stretching the heated Oxygen Sensor pigtail. Lower the exhaust system to the extent that will install the Catalytic Converter to the resonator inlet pipe while making sure that the solid part of Catalytic Converter heat shield is directed upward. Put the slide 2 service clamps around the Catalytic Converter outlet pipe without over tightening the clamps and then slide the Catalytic Converter outlet pipe over the resonator inlet pipe until it is completely seated on the heated Oxygen Sensor boss. Mount a new Catalytic Converter Gasket onto the Catalytic Converter studs and then lift the exhaust system into place, ensuring that the Catalytic Converter is in line with the exhaust manifold pipe. Lastly, in your clamp nuts hold the Catalytic Converter to the exhaust manifold pipe without tightening them yet.
