The intermediate park brake cable requires pulling down at its connector location before separation from the park brake cable connector. Proceed by disconnecting the intermediate park brake cable first from the rear equalizer and next from the right rear park brake cable. The Parking Brake Cable Release Tool (J 37043) enables user to separate the intermediate park brake cable housing from the rear park brake cable housing connector before removing the intermediate park brake cable. To perform installation connect the right rear park brake cable to the intermediate park brake cable before connecting both to the equalizer and the park brake cable connector. Lower the vehicle after completing the installation process while inserting the intermediate park brake cable into the park brake cable connector.
