How to replace the front brake calipers (without J55) on 2003 Cadillac DeVille?

To replace the front brake caliper (without J55), you need to check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir; if it is halfway between the max-full point and the minimum allowable, no fluid to be removed but if it is in a high level lower it to the halfway point. Lift and hold the vehicle, after that, remove tire and wheel assembly. Hand tighten to 2 wheel lug nuts to lock the rotor onto the hub. Use a large c-clamp around the brake caliper, tight enough to have the piston of the caliper compress to be able to slide by-pass the brake rotor, then remove the c-clamp. Remove the brake hose from the caliper bolt and throw away the two copper brake hose gaskets for each position, covering the openings to avoid the loss of fluid and contamination. Mark the location of the caliper pin bolts (upper has a bushing and lower is a solid design). Remove caliper pin bolts and remove the caliper from the rotor and caliper bracket while inspecting the bolt boots on the caliper for any cuts, tears or wear, replace any damaged ones. If reusing the caliper pin bolts, clean and apply a slight amount of niglube(R) grease to the bolts themselves but do not lubricate Brake Pad hardware. Install the brake caliper over the brake pads into the caliper bracket , then install the caliper pin bolts with the bolts boots fitting securely. Tighten the caliper pin bolts to 85nm (63ft. Lbs.) and a new copper brake hose gasket. Mount the brake hose bolt with the new gaskets to the brake hose and then tighten the rear brake hose to caliper bolt to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Bleed brake system by pressing brake pedal to about 2/3 travel depth with engine off and release and do it again until you have a firm pedal when the release is made. The 2 wheel lug nuts need to be removed, tire and wheel assembly installed and the vehicle lowered.
