How to replace the brake master cylinder on 2003 Cadillac DeVille?

Before handling the master cylinder you must disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid sensor and brake pipes and install rubber caps to seal the exposed ends. You need to put plugs on brake pipe ends before removing the master cylinder with 2 mounting nuts. To save the reservoir for future use disconnect it from its position on the master cylinder. Before reinstalling the brake system connect the Brake Master Cylinder reservoir with the master cylinder if necessary and perform a foot test on the master cylinder. Mount the master cylinder to the Brake Booster unit while tightening its two mounting nuts to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the brake pipes and connect them to the master cylinder while tightening the brake fittings at the master cylinder to 32 nm. Attach the Brake Fluid Level Sensor's electrical connector last and drain the brake system hydraulics through normal procedures.
