You must take out the rear brake caliper (J55) from the vehicle and collect all brake fluid before putting clean shop towels within. Keep your hands away from the Piston when you press compressed air as this safety measure will prevent injuries. Place clean cloths inside the caliper housing before you push the Piston out using low pressure air entering through the fluid access point. Using a small wooden or plastic tool you can safely extract both seals of the dust boot and Piston assembly. Using denatured alcohol or equivalent wipe the inner parts including the bleeder valve of the caliper body and then air-dry its components without lubrication. Take new parts when you see surface damage or color problems within the caliper. Light caliper dust and metal corrosion need crocus cloth to remove them. Thread the new bleeder valve to 13 nm (115 inch lbs.) then apply delco supreme 11 brake fluid from a sealed container under the Piston seal to enhance its operation. Avoid twisting or straining the seal inside the caliper bore cavity. Push the caliper Piston into the caliper bore with your hands to set the boot. After that, place the Piston into the caliper from the bore and lower it to the bottom with your hand. Put the boot and retaining ring over the Piston before fixing the caliper to the vehicle.
