  A: First, you should put the car on flat ground, block its front wheels, and pull the parking brake handle. Position the gear lever to its lowest gear first, then take off the air cleaner assembly, the Cruise Control Module, the accelerator control cable, and its bracket, putting them somewhere they won't get in your way. Take off the electrical connector at the left strut tower, then remove the master cylinder mounting nuts and disconnect the master cylinder from the Brake Booster , making sure to move it forward a little without bending the brake pipes. Unhook the shift control cable from the shaft lever pin, disconnect the vacuum check valve from the vacuum booster, and take out the inlet heater pipe, leave closeout insulator panel, and left knee bolster bracket. To get to the left lower Brake Pedal to vacuum Brake Booster mounting nut, take out the Steering Column mounting nuts, lower the Steering Column, and secure it. Pull off the foam spacer and the retaining clip from the clevis pin of the Brake Pedal, then take the pushrod off the clevis.
