  A: To service the Throttle Body first disconnect the maf sensor electrical connector and loosen intake air duct clamps ensuring not to damage the maf sensor screen which could prevent airflow and cause driveability issues. Disassemble the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and air cleaner intake duct as an assembly and clear the Throttle Body bore and throttle valve plate for deposits, opening the throttle valve and check all surfaces. Scrub the Throttle Body bore and throttle cavity intake on the valve plate with a clean shop towel using gm top engine cleaner (P/N 1052626 Canada P/N 993026), ac-delco carburetor tune-up conditioner (P/N X66-P), ensure the maf sensor inlet duct is aligned and aligned with the outlet of the air cleaner assembly for installation to eliminate the chances of getting incorrect readings of the airflow which might trigger the mil or causes driveability issues. Mount the maf sensor and air cleaner intake duct as an assembly, torque intake air duct clamps to 3 n.m (27 lb in), and reconnect maf sensor electrical connector.
