Use gm top engine cleaner (P/N 1052626 Canada P/N 993026) or ac-delco carburetor tune-up conditioner (P/N X66-P) or equivalent cleaning agent for clearing the Throttle Body bore and throttle valve plate with a clean shop towel. When installing the air cleaner assembly and maf sensor inlet duct should be properly aligned to stop erroneous airflow readings from triggering mil alerts and driveability problems. Connect the maf sensor alongside the air cleaner intake duct assembly before securing the intake duct clamps at 3 n.m (27 lb in) torque setting before hooking up the maf sensor cable.

For install, make sure you align the outlet of the air cleaner assembly with the inlet duct of the maf sensor to avoid improper airflow readings that trigger the mil or onboard driveability concerns. Mount the maf/iat sensor assembly and plug maf/iat sensor electrical connector back to maf/iat sensor while tightening maf/iat sensor clamps to 3n.m(27lb in).

Install the maf sensor and air cleaner intake duct in an assembly before clamping the intake air duct clamps to 3 nm (27 lb in) before reattaching the maf sensor electrical connector.
