How to replace the wiper arm on 2003 Cadillac DeVille?

Begin Wiper Arm replacement by putting wipers into park position before marking the windshield spot where the blade rests using a marker or tape. Begin by disconnecting the washer hose from the air inlet grille panel. Then remove the panel covering the Wiper Arm nut followed by nut removal before using the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) to remove the Wiper Arm from drive pivot shafts. The Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) serves to remove wiper arms from drive pivot shafts. The Wiper Blade should be removed from the Wiper Arm after cleaning drive shaft knurls with a wire brush. To install wipers start by fitting the blade to the arm before placing the Wiper Arm so the blade touches the mark on the windshield which was used for removal. Screw the Wiper Arm onto the drive pivot shafts before tightening the nut to 32 n.m (24 lb ft). Finish the setup by fitting the cover onto the nut then reattaching the washer hose to the air inlet grille and activate the wipers to verify normal performance.
