    How to replace the wiper arm on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer

    Before starting to remove the Wiper Arm position set the wipers to their park stop while using either tape or ink to mark where the blade touches the windshield. Detach the washer hose from the air inlet grille panel before you remove the Wiper Arm cover nut and take out the nut. A battery terminal puller will help you remove the Wiper Arm if rocking it does not free it from the Drive Shaft. Twist the Wiper Arm until it disconnects from the Drive Shaft. Afterward shake the arm left and right to free it entirely before taking it out. Clean the Drive Shaft knurls with the wire brush before removing the Wiper Blade from its Wiper Arm. Fasten the Wiper Blade to the Wiper Arm and place the arm to match the mark on the windshield that you previously made for alignment. Snap the Wiper Arm onto the Drive Shaft and fasten it with a nut that requires 32 n.m (24 lb ft) of torque. Reattach the nut cover and join the washer hose to the air inlet grille panel in its proper place. Run the wipers to test if they work correctly as designed.

    Once loosened, rock the wiper arm back and forth to detach it from the drive shaft and then remove the wiper arm.
