To deal with valve lifter stickiness caused by gum or varnish build-up use the valve lifter remover (J3049-A). The proper sequence for reassembly requires that valve lifters should be organized and marked for their correct installation position. The valve lifters need cleaning when necessary and require an inspection step. During reinstallation the original positions of valve lifters must be maintained when using reused components.
