How to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2003 Cadillac Seville?

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensors is replaced by turning off the ignition, draining the coolant to the level below the ECT sensor. Unplug the ECT sensor harness connector and take out the ECT sensor. In sealing the new ECT sensor threads, coat the threads with sealer GM P/N 1050805 or comparable with equivalent. Mount the ECT sensor mounting back panel (32832) and tighten it to 20 N.m (15 lb ft). Following correct specifications will prevent any damage. Connect the ECT sensor harness connector and fill up the coolant system. Care should be taken when dealing with the coolant sensor in cases where the failure impacts on the functioning of the fuel control system and it should be ensured that replacement parts are of correct part number and for the application.
