You must first detach the left valve rocker arms together with their stationary hydraulic lash adjusters from their positions in the bores before proceeding. Check and clean all lash adjusters. Always put clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 into the lower pressure chamber before allowing the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster plunger to move without oil. Add clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or equivalent to the Lash Adjuster while being cautious not to damage the pivot sphere region of the Lash Adjuster. Install newly procured lash adjusters into their bores before reinstalling the left valve rocker arms.
