How to replace the parking brake cable on 2003 Cadillac Seville?

You should lift and support the vehicle prior to cable parking brake replacement. Now lower the intermediate park brake cable close to its connector while removing it from the connection. Before installation disconnect the intermediate park brake cable at both the rear equalizer section and the right rear park brake cable section. The Parking Brake Cable Release Tool (J 37043) should be used to detach intermediate park brake cable housing from the rear park brake cable housing support before removing the intermediate park brake cable. The new intermediate park brake cable needs to be routed through the park brake cable connector until it reaches the equalizer then it must be connected to the right rear park brake cable for installation. After installing the intermediate park brake cable into the park brake cable connector you can lower the vehicle.
