How to replace the automatic Motor and Transmission Mount on 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier?

To remove the automatic transmission mount, first insert a block of wood, which covers the width of the Oil Pan bottom, between the Oil Pan and jack support to avoid damage collection. Instead, a jack or utility stand is used to lift the transmission/transaxle which relieves the load off the mount while creating a small amount of tension. Check the transmission/transaxle mount by looking for cracks on the rubber side, degeneration from metal plate or splits down the middle of the mount. Replace if any of these conditions exists. If there is free movement between the metal plate and transmissions, tighten the transmission mount fasteners to the correct specification. Raise and support the vehicle; and then remove the left front wheel and tire assembly, as well as the left front fender liner. Having established a jackstand and a block of wood under the transaxle, remove the expansion bolt and the transmission mount bolts to remove the mount. Move the mount bracket to the new mount and align it, and drive the bolts into the threads, tightening them to 66 nm (41 ft. Lbs.). Mount the expansion bolt and tighten it with 55 nm (41 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, lift up the vehicle, remove the jackstand and wood block, replace the left fender liner, the left tire and wheel assembly.
