    Q:
How to replace the engine mount on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step in Engine Mount replacement requires uninstalling the coolant recovery tank mounting bolt before placing the tank safely to the side. Begin by taking off the Cruise Control Module mounting nuts and setting them aside before moving onto removal of the mounting nut from both a/c line and placing the lines out of the way. The engine support fixture (J 28467-360) should be installed before using it to lift the engine off the mount. Start by removing the body-mount nuts combined with the bracket-mount bolts while extracting the Engine Mount assembly. First place the Engine Mount assembly into position and then install body-mounting nuts but do not fully tighten them. Completely install the bolts which connect the Engine Mount to the bracket at 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.) torque and 90 degrees of angle while setting the nuts holding the mount to the body at 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.). Termination of the engine support fixture (J 28467-360) task allows the reinstallation of the coolant recovery tank followed by proper tightening of the a/c line mounting nut along with Cruise Control Module mounting nuts.
