How to Replace the Front A/C Hose in an Evaporator Tube on 2003 Chevrolet Express 3500?

The first step to replace the front evaporator tube requires the recovery of all refrigerant materials in the a/c system. Begin by taking out the coolant recovery reservoir and grille and front evaporator hose nut from the condenser and afterward detach the evaporator inlet hose nut from the front evaporator tube hose. First disconnect the evaporator inlet hose from the front hose while also removing the nut from the rear evaporator tube before pulling the front evaporator hose from the vehicle that requires discarding the sealing washers. To set up the evaporator tubes first add new washers before placing the front tube into the vehicle and matching it with the rear tube which should be fastened using a retaining nut set to 16 n.m (12 lb ft) torque. Connect the evaporator inlet hose into the front evaporator tube while tightening the evaporator inlet hose nut to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Connect the front evaporator tube to the condenser by using the front evaporator tube nut then tighten it to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Complete the installation by replacing the grille followed by the coolant recovery reservoir then perform a/c system evacuation and recharging and finish with fittings leak detection using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
