How to replace the front door window regulator on 2003 Chevrolet Impala?

The first step in replacing an impala front door Window Regulator requires creation of a 6.3 mm (1/4 in) window opening at the top that is taped to its frame. Beginning the replacement requires removal of both front door trim panel components together with front door water deflector parts. Detach both the front window from its regulator carrier plate and disconnect the electrical connector from the front Window Regulator motor. Begin by loosening the front Window Regulator motor bolts then proceed to release the top bolts before removing the lower bolts present on the front Window Regulator rail. Raise the front Window Regulator above the key slots which are located in the front door inner panel then push it through the rear opening. The installation should begin by mounting top Window Regulator bolts halfway on both the motor and rail before inserting the front Window Regulator rail through the rear access hole ahead of the motor placement. Screw in the bolts which serve as front Window Regulator keys. Follow by torquing both the front Window Regulator motor and rail bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Place the front window on its carrier plate following removal of tape from its surface. Subsequently install the electrical connector to the front Window Regulator motor. Reinstall the front door trim panel together with the front door water deflector.
