How to Replace a Power Steering Hose for Return Hose on 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

As a first step to install the power steering return hose start by elevating and suspending the vehicle and removing the tire and wheel assembly. You should separate the power steering return hose from the power steering gear before removing it through all its clips on that gear. Next disconnect the return hose at both the Power Steering Pump and the hose retainers which fasten it on the cradle . After detaching clips and electrical harnesses from the return hose, remove it by taking the hose out of the vehicle. Installation begins with the return hose mounted inside the vehicle in which technicians attach electrical harnesses plus clips and make secure fittings at hose retainers on the cradle. Install the return hose by starting with attachment to the Power Steering Pump before securing it to power steering gear clips then attaching the hose to the power steering gear . You must tighten the fitting to 27 n.m (20 lb ft).
