Start by lifting the vehicle then remove its rear battery cover bolts and the cover before disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. During connectionprocedure follow these steps: confirm electrical components are powered off then remove rust from the negative Battery Cable using a wire brush. After connecting the negative Battery Cable you must tighten the cable bolt to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). After installing the rear battery cover attach the nuts firmly until they reach a torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in). After lowering the vehicle complete radio preset and theft code reset.
