Secure the cable by riding the right side frame rail nut and tightening it to meet a torque specification of 25 N.m (18 lb ft). After connecting the negative battery cable, span the rear battery cover with nuts using 10 N.m (89 lb in) torque. Finally, lower the vehicle.
