How to replace the front seat belt on 2003 Chevrolet SSR?

The first step to replace a front seat belt requires disabling SIR zone 6 or SIR zone 2. The first step requires removal of the lock pillar trim followed by the removal of connector positive assurance from seat belt pretensioner and electrical connector. The seat belt anchor fastener needs removal from the floor area before passing the seat belt webbing through the seat belt guide loop. Continue with the process by removing the seat belt fastener then lifting the seat belt pretensioner from the hanger basket to pull the seat belt out of the vehicle. To put in the seat belt start by fitting it inside the car before fastening it to the hanger bracket of the pretensioner. Fasten the seat belt fastener then tighten it to 70 N.m against a torque wrench scale reading of 52 lb ft. The seat belt webbing along with its anchor should pass through the seat belt guide loop before installing the seat belt anchor to the floor at 70 N.m (52 lb ft). Fasten the electrical connector and connector positive assurance to the seat belt pretensioner before putting back the lock pillar trim. The system should be enabled for either SIR zone 6 or SIR zone 2.
