How to replace the front seat belt on 2004 Chevrolet SSR?

Begin the front seat belt replacement procedure by disabling either SIR zone 6 or SIR zone 2 system. First remove the trim from the lock pillar before disconnecting the connector for positive assurance to the pretensioner and electrical connector. Set down the floor fastener of the seat belt anchor and direct the seat belt webbing and anchor through the seat belt guide loop. The seat belt fastener needs removal before lifting the pretensioner from the hanger basket to extract the seat belt from the vehicle. The seat belt pretensioner needs installation when positioned within the vehicle through the hanger bracket attachment. Secure the seat belt fastener with proper torque of 70 N.m reaching 52 lb ft. Finally guide the seat belt webbing and anchor through the seat belt guide loop before attaching the anchor to the floor while tightening its fastener to 70 nm (52 lb ft). Install the electrical connector and connector positive assurance to the seat belt pretensioner before placing the lock pillar trim back. Enable either SIR zone 6 or SIR zone 2 in the finish.
