How to replace the front seat belt on 2005 Chevrolet SSR?

The front seat belt replacement requires disabling options between SIR zone 6 or SIR zone 2. Start by removing the lock pillar trim before separating the connector positive assurance from seat belt pretensioner while also disconnecting the electrical connector. The seat belt fastener on the floor must be taken out before directing the seat belt anchor through the seat belt guide loop with the webbing attached. Transfer the seat belt fastener to allow access to remove the seat belt pretensioner from its position on the hanger basket. Installation requires seating the belt inside the vehicle space then attaching the pretensioner to the hanger bracket. Install the seat belt fastener by tightening it to 70 N.m (52 lb ft) while referring to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. The seat belt webbing and anchor need to pass through the seat belt guide loop before you can install the seat belt anchor to the floor by using a fastener that requires 70 N.m (52 lb ft) force. Connect the electrical connector along with the connector positive assurance to the seat belt pretensioner while otherwise installing the lock pillar trim. Enable SIR zone 6 or SIR zone 2 as the final step.
