How to replace the MAP Sensor on 2004 Chevrolet SSR?

The first step in replacing the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor involves loosening and then removing the intake manifold sight shield fasteners. Within the next step disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connection before pulling out the MAP sensor from the intake manifold. Engine oil must lightly coat the new MAP sensor seal before installation. Push down the MAP sensor to insert it into the retainer while connecting the electrical connector. After tightening all fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in) position install the intake manifold sight shield.
