How to replace the Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) in a 4WD Antilock Brake System on 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500?

Before working on the Wheel Speed Sensor of a 4wd antilock brake system you must lift the vehicle undergo wheel removal. Move on to remove the brake rotor designed for 1500 models after extraction. When removing the wss bolt and sensor from the bore employ slow movements to prevent breaking the sensor structure. On models 2500/3500 you must take out the wss from hub/bearing assembly before disconnecting wss cable-mounting clips from knuckle uppers Control Arm and frame plus disconnecting the wss cable electrical connector. Return the wss to the hub/bearing assembly and secure it with the mounting bolt at 18 n.m torque setting (13 lb ft). Reinstall wss cable mounting clips to the frame parts before attaching its electrical connector to the wss component. Reinstall the brake rotor for 1500 models as well as the tire and wheel unit before completing the diagnostic system check - abs tests.
