2003 Chevrolet Tracker EGR Tube Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the EGR Tube on 2003 Chevrolet Tracker?
A: Engine replacement of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve pipe requires engine temperature reduction and removal of three fasteners and one middle egr pipe fastener. First remove the two fasteners which are close to the egr valve before taking out the upper gasket and lower gasket . Afterward extract the egr pipe . Thoroughly clean off gasket residue on both parts which will make contact. When installing the egr pipe place it with new upper and lower gaskets onto the Intake Manifold while fastening the 2 fasteners to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Use the 2 fasteners to connect the egr pipe to the lower Intake Manifold while torquing them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Secure the egr pipe bracket fastener at 10 n.m (89 lb in). Use the engine start followed by an exhaust leak audit before conducting required fixing procedures.
