Cut through the swage ring using a hand grinder before removing tripot housing and trilobal tripot bushing from halfshaft bar. Degrease the housing and spider assembly completely and throw away the tripot bushing. Use 320 grit 3m cloth to remove any corrosion off the transmission sealing surface and let the housing and spider assembly dry, being careful with tripot spider assembly to not let the tripot balls and needle rollers separate.
