You should start by disconnecting the battery positive cable from the junction block before raising the vehicle. Start by taking off the frame retainers of the battery positive cable and breaking the connection between the battery positive cable and the auxiliary battery before extracting the battery from the vehicle. To begin setup place the new positive cable battery to the vehicle then connect it with the auxiliary battery and tighten it to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Lower the vehicle after you fasten the battery positive cable retainers to the frame. Proceed to attach the battery positive cable to the junction block while tightening the nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Proceed by securing the bolt connecting the battery negative cable to the auxiliary battery at 15 n.m (11 lb ft) before attaching the battery negative cable to the battery and securing it with a 17 n.m (13 lb ft) torque.
