2004 Buick LeSabre Fuel Rail Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel rail assembly (VIN K) on 2004 Buick LeSabre?
A: The responsible first step to replace the Fuel Rail assembly (VIN K) involves reducing fuel pressure from the system and preserving cleanliness throughout the work. Clean the Fuel Rail assembly components and its connectors before removing the fuel feed and return pipes attached to the Fuel Rail tubes together with the vacuum line connected to the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Disconnect the wiring from ignition coils by pressing the lock tab and then remove the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors. The Fuel Injector remover (J 43013) allows precise injector lifting before you use equal force on both sides to remove the Fuel Rail. At installation time replace all serviced component o-rings and lightly apply motor oil to them before seating the Fuel Rail assembly on the Intake Manifold by hand. Fasten the Fuel Rail hold-down bolts while tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reestablish connection between all electrical Fuel Injector connectors and completely reassemble fuel feed pipes and return pipes as well as the vacuum tube to the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the ignition coils. Begin by tightening the fuel fill cap followed by reconnection of the negative Battery Cable and inspect the system for leaks by performing the specified ignition switch operation. As the last step install the fuel injection sight shield.
