  A: A Fuel Rail service or repair procedure must start with fuel pressure relief followed by proper cleaning measures during the entire process. The Fuel Injector remover (J 43013) allows safe elevation of the injectors after you disconnect the fuel feed and return pipes from the Fuel Rail tubes and the vacuum line from the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Disconnect the ignition wires then remove Ignition Coil wires before removing the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors. Use an equal amount of force when removing the Fuel Rail by unfastening the mounting bolts then pulling it out in both directions.
