A replacement of the seal of the intermediate steering shaft can only be achieved through the wheels being straight and with the steering column in the LOCK position. Take out the air cleaner assembly, the intermediate shaft pinch bolt and unscrew the intermediate steering shaft. Installation of a new seal, tightening of the bolts and ensuring that no binding is done.
