    Q:
How to replace the Steering Column Seal on the intermediate steering shaft on Cadillac Seville? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by taking out the Steering Column and the intermediate Steering Shaft followed by the vacuum Brake Booster to replace the intermediate Steering Shaft seal. To reach the Steering Shaft seal retaining bolts you must disconnect the fuel lines from under hood fasteners. Once you remove those bolts and the intermediate Steering Shaft seal is ready for removal from your vehicle. Position the intermediate shaft seal inside the vehicle while it should connect to the Floor Pan holes before using intermediate shaft seal bolts to tighten it to 3 nm (27 inch lbs.). Begin the reinstallation process by inserting the fuel bundle into the under hood fasteners followed by the vacuum Brake Booster then finish with the Steering Column and intermediate Steering Shaft. Steer the vehicle after installation to verify that the intermediate Steering Shaft does not bind with its intermediate Steering Shaft seal.
