To repair the Vehicle Speed Sensor, take off the harness connector and the bolt first, and then remove the sensor and O-ring together from the vehicle. Make sure to set the O-ring seal on the vehicle speed sensor and apply a bit of transmission fluid; then put the sensor into the transmission case. Make sure you tighten the bolt until it has 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.) of torque, then connect the wiring harness electrical connector to the vehicle speed sensor. At the end, top off the transmission fluid as needed.
