  A: First service the Oil Filter by raising and supporting the vehicle and positioning an oil drain container under the engine oil Drain Plug to remove the plug. Service technicians should inspect the engine oil Drain Plug and in case of damage replace it along with examination of the Oil Pan sealing surface where needed. Afterward remove the Oil Filter then cleanse and examine the Oil Filter adapter sealing area before repairing it if needed. Place engine oil into the new Oil Filter while applying a small amount of clean oil to the replacement gasket of the Oil Filter. After the gasket touches the mounting surface, torque the new Oil Filter to 3/4 to 1 full turn. Place the engine oil Drain Plug back in position while applying torque of 20nm (15 ft.lbs.) before letting the vehicle return to the ground and adding fresh engine oil. Check for oil leaks when the engine begins operation.
