How to service and repair the right lifter/lash adjuster on 2004 Cadillac DeVille?

To service and repair the right lifter/Lash Adjuster, one has to usually remove the right valve rocker arms and remove stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from the bores. Clean and check valve lifters. Upon installation, avoid stroking or cycling the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster plunger without oil in the lower pressure chamber. Fill the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) with clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or matching up by being careful not to scratch pivot sphere-face area of the shla. Finally, install the new shla's into the bores and fit the right valve rocker arms back.
