Secure the studplate to prevent its fall into the door cavity before detaching the hinge to body bolts. Then remove the hinge to door nuts. The body side of the hinge requires rotation away from the body before you can take out the hinge assembly. Put the hinge over the door mounting studs before you rotate the hinge body side toward the pillar for installation. The bolts need to be installed and fastened with the hinge to body bolts at 30 N.m (22 lb ft) torque setting and hinge to door nuts at 34 N.m (25 lb ft). Address any damaged areas of the hinge and fasteners with body color paint before adjusting the door alignment correctly using the front door.
