How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2004 Cadillac Seville?

When replacing an engine oil pressure sensor and switch you should start by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Use pliers to disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch before you can pull out the switch from the oil filter adapter . Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.) when reinstalling on the oil filter adapter during installation. Reconnect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch before lowering the vehicle while adjusting the engine oil level to the full mark and checking for any oil leaks after starting the engine.
