The power steering pressure hose replacement (LHD) begins with installing the drain pan underneath the car before removing the pressure hose from the Power Steering Pump. The vehicle requires a support raise before removing the heat shield and extension panel of the power steering gear. You must first detach the power steering pressure hose bracket retaining nut that exists near the Cylinder Head prior to disconnecting the hose from both the frame bracket and power steering gear. Take out the power steering pressure hose from the motor vehicle. Installation begins with attaching the new power steering pressure hose to the vehicle followed by its connection to the bracket at the frame while complying with the fastener notice in service precautions. The power steering gear receives the hose while workers tighten its fasteners to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Next they must attach the power steering pressure hose bracket and retaining nut to the Cylinder Head by using 9 nm (8 inch lbs.) torque. The service requires you to reposition the fascia extension panel followed by the power steering gear heat shield. Next, lower the vehicle and complete the procedure by installing the power steering pressure hose on the pump while tightening it to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Drain the container and perform power steering system bleeding.
